Well, FuryanWarrior has taken down my stolen story and has sent me an apology email.

Is it me, or does it seem like she truly doesn't understand that what she did was 100% wrong? She tries to be flattering, telling me that she's now been inspired by what I wrote, that others need to read my story. So, I ask this..... why didn't she ask me if I'd post it to ff.net if I haven't already? Why did she just up and post it herself? Hrmm... I bet she cannot answer those very simple questions.

I also received word from ff.net about FuryanWarrior's actions and this is what they said...

I want to somehow get through to her that she has no clue and that she's 100% wrong to do what she did. *sigh* Oh such stupid crap I don't need to be dealing with at present. But justice will prevail I tell you! It will!

Wow... just wow. Never have I ever even remotely thought that my writing was the sort that would ever fall victim to plagiarism. BUT...... indeed it has. It appears that there's some very sad individual, who goes by the user name FuryanWarrior, over at ff.net who felt compelled to totally plagiarize my Riddick fanfic. *seethes*

Many thanks to moderndayportia for bringing this to my attention. I'm very thankful and appreciative that she took the time to inform me. If any of you want to help bring the culprit down... you can find their link to my stolen story HERE. Please leave a comment (I already have done so) and report the abuse to help get the admins to deal with this wretched individual. I've already reported them, but I figure the more reports the higher the chances that this person will be banned, etc.

It has a Sorting Hat, Common Rooms for each house and of course Hogwarts itself. Once sorted, you can freely roam the halls of Hogwarts or just relax and mingle in your Common Room.

So far, the community is just getting off the ground, but there have been quite a few sortings already completed. OK... WTF?!?! LJ... you seriously piss me off. Each and everytime you supposedly 'upgrade' or 'add something new' you get totally FUCKED up and it's getting me super angry and frustrated. WTF is up with my Friends Page? The text is all sorts of CRAZY and when I tried to go in and see what things might have gotten screwed up, I realize that the customization pathways have changed. Now, this should be a good thing, but alas it doesn't seem to be so. In fact, it seems worse as you cannot get into anything that you had customized previously. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?

Is anyone else having this problem and if so do they know how to fix it? Also, has anyone else noticed that all the 'changes' that LJ seems to make SUCK MY ASS?!?!?! I'm just wondering if it's me... if I'm crazy for thinking and feeling this way.

PIMPING:

The Unloved Fandom & Fandom Pairing Challenge

I implore those of you on my flist, and those who lurk about my un-f-locked posts from time to time, to check out this challenge being hosted by dmitchell1985. It's a wonderful idea that will hopefully get others into thinking about and/or participating in writing within more obscure fandoms and/or writing using more obscure pairings within a fandom. Those of you who don't like to write or just don't want to write for this challenge, I ask that you take a peek anyway and express support and cheer on those who do take part in the writing... once they post, give them feedback, show them you support them, etc. And of course, pimp this challenge like crazy. It's set to start Monday March 6th and the time frame for writing anywhere between 500 - 1000 words (though more is totally fine *grins*) is one month. I have a question for the flist...

Do any of you have a particular fandom or a particular pairing in a fandom that you feel to be obscure and somewhat unloved by the masses?

If so, then I suggest you pop on over to dmitchell1985's LJ and take the polls she has set up in hopes to get everyone participating in a challenge to help spread the love of obscure fandoms and fandom pairings. The polls can be found HERE and HERE.

It really ought to be fun and it should also be a nice way to introduce people to new things out there in the world of fanfiction.

If you are a writer, I hope that you'll be willing to participate and share your creativity. If you are solely a reader, I hope that you'll support everyone by reading and commenting.

Cool!

Sent off chapter 6 to eustacia_vye28 for beta-ing. Wrote about half of chapter 7. Wrote the entire ending of the fic (which came to 1070 words alone). I've also thought out a few more key events that MUST happen in my fic. Now to write those too! Methinks I need to write those out before continuing with chapter 7. I'm getting to a critical point in my story where I seriously need to make sure things flow in a VERY particular way. We'll see if I can pull it off!

I've noticed that I have quite a little handful of people who've friended me and I'd like to say hello to each and everyone of you. Please, introduce yourself and tell me a bit about yourself. Also, feel free to ask me anything you'd like. I always enjoy getting to know new people and such.

And just to break the ice a little, here are a few basic things about me:

I'm a gamer girl who is seriously addicted to both gaming and movie watching (you should see my DVD library and I won't even mention how frequently I go to the theaters). I'm a fan of comicbooks and anime (especially Vampire Hunter D and Samurai 7). I also love reading and you'll often catch me reading things that fall under the scifi/fantasy or horror genres. As far as TV watching goes... LOVE IT (yes, I'm that sad). My shows right now are Gilmore Girls and House on Tuesdays, Lost and Invasion on Wednesdays and Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica on Fridays. Yep, I'm sad. And believe it or not, I actually like doing things that require physical activity too. I love exercising (especially kickboxing), playing tennis and I'm learning how to play golf. Hmmm... what else. Oh, I also love making icons (and other forms of digital graphics) and have my own community called indigoicons and I dabble in writing as well. Right now, most of my writing is fanfiction, but I do original fiction too (that's just not posted for all to see). If you are curious about my writing, I have various communities where I post... indigopages (this has everything that I've completed), healers (this is for a WIP in the HP fandom) and riddick_verse (this is where I store all my Riddick-related stuff, but I'm currently working on a fic that I post over there too). OK, so now it's your turn!!!

I'm up to chapter 5 now and am currently writing chapter 6 (yes, I've already started writing it and am up to about 500 words). Today has been interesting. I managed to get done all the little chores and errands I had set up for myself today. YAY! So that was great, I feel accomplished in that regard!

I've also acquired a beta reader for my Riddick fic... none other than the wonderful and talented eustacia_vye28. I'm valuing her help and such immensely as she's familiar with the verse and an excellent writer (You all should check out her Firefly/Serenity stuff... seriously, no one writes River like she can. She writes her, and the other FF/S characters, perfectly and should thus be considered one of the greats for that fandom).

Hmmm... what else? Oh, I got bombarded by a college kid seeking book donations for St. Jude's Hospital. Now, normally I'd blow this sort of thing off, but it was for St. Jude's. You really can't say no to that even if the person asking for the donations is an ass. MEH!

And well, that's about it. A boring day in the life of me... :-)

ETA: And I got bombarded by some smooth-talking college boy who was obviously looking for money... though it was for a good cause. It was for St. Jude's and they provided you a receipt for a tax write-off if you actually donated. Anyway, he tried to flirt with me and make me feel like I was pretty and girly... yeah right. Wasn't he surprised when I told him I was a gamer and into Science Fiction. He was also shocked off his ass when I told him I was nearly 30 and an engineer. And then in hopes to get him to tone it down a bit, I told him I was engaged to be married soon (all true of course), but it didn't work. He then proceeded to say that I was smart, pretty and taken which made him jealous. Yeah right! Anyway, despite it all, I did donate some money as it was for St. Jude's. I really couldn't say no to that. I just wish that the guy asking didn't try to be all flirty with me. BLECH!

I looove writing Riddick fic, even if I suck at it. I've decided that delving into this fandom right now this is the perfect way for me to take a much needed break from HP (and explore a 'verse I truly adore). Don't get me wrong. I looove the HP fandom... I'm just not inspired by it right now and need a hiatus from it. I'm sure my inspiration will come back. Lord knows it has to seeing as I still owe people things. GAH! But for now, I need to take this break. If I don't, the stuff I write for HP will be even worse than it is currently. (yeah, I don't think I'm much of a writer, but I do so like doing it nonetheless).

Anyway, that is that. Right now I'm writing chapter 3 of my Riddick fic. Or should I say a scene in chapter 3. It's nearly 1000 words now and is a fairly sexy scene... no sex, but sexy. :-)
